The CRUMBS Project Trainee Awards 2023

Crumbs’ trainees, staff, and volunteers gathered at Brewhouse & Kitchen in Bournemouth on the 3rd March for the charity’s annual awards event to recognise the fantastic progress and achievements of the past year.

Crumbs’ Trainees receive awards from Chair, Professor Peter. A. Jones MBE

The disability training charity supports adults with disabilities or mental health issues to develop vocational and life skills leading to employment and more independent living.

The awards event was an opportunity for Crumbs’ trainees to gather away from the Crumbs training centre to enjoy a social lunch and conversation before hearing more about and supporting the achievements of their peers.

Over 40 awards were presented including 5 trainees who received professionally endorsed awards for completing units within their vocational skill training programmes.

Guest Sam Everard, CEO and founder of The SAMEE Charity, presented an award to Luke who was recognised as ‘Crumbs Trainee of the Year 2022/23’. Luke’s achievements included gaining paid employment with Rick Stein Restaurants following work experience as part of the Crumbs’ PATHS employability programme.

“This annual awards event is an important date in the charity’s calendar as it provides us all with an opportunity to reflect on the progress and achievements made by each and every trainee engaging in their professional training programmes.
