Capital Group’s Equity & Justice programme supports the work of The CRUMBS Project

The CRUMBS Project was invited to present at Capital Group’s annual Community Fair held at their offices in Paddington, London, as part of the organisation’s Equity & Justice programme supporting small charities.

Capital Group is an investment management company, overseeing more than $2.5 trillion of assets globally, and employing 9,300 associates in 32 offices across 15 countries.

As part of the organisation’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, 24 communities across the group work through the Capital Cares programme to engage associates to give back to their communities.

Through Capital Group’s Equity & Justice programme, associates can direct a discretionary donation to a charity advancing equity and/or justice through the Benevity corporate social responsibility online platform.

The CRUMBS Project is one of the chosen charities being supported by the Capital Abilities Network (CAN), a community within the group working to empower individuals with visible and invisible disabilities.

Providing hospitality-based training and development programmes for adults who are disadvantaged by disabilities, neurodivergences, or mental health conditions, The CRUMBS Project’s charitable work aligns closely with Capital Group’s CAN community’s aim to raise awareness, build skills, remove barriers, and create a more equitable society for people with disabilities.

Capital Group associate and Capital Abilities Network member, Russell Dixon-Box, spoke about the organisation’s support for the charity:

The Capital Abilities Network were honoured to welcome The CRUMBS Project to their second Charity in the Community Fair.  The Equity and Justice programme is an important part of Capital’s commitment to the communities in which we live and serve. We are so happy to have been able to support them and the important work they do, expanding access to resources, knowledge, and skills, for people who are living with disabilities, neurodivergences, mental health conditions, stabilised addictions, or acquired brain injuries.

The CRUMBS Project’s Head of Centre spoke about the experience of the Community Fair:

We were thrilled to take part in Capital Group’s Community Fair, connecting with many associates to share our charity’s mission. We champion disability confidence and celebrate neurodiversity in every sphere of life, particularly through the UK’s hospitality industry. Support from Capital Group’s associates through the Equity & Justice programme directly helps The CRUMBS Project’s trainees to benefit from a variety of development and enrichment opportunities, creating pathways to work and promoting their social inclusion.
