Question 1:
What will I do at The CRUMBS Project?
Answer:
You will learn how to cook, bake, and be more independent.
You will have opportunities to:
- Meet people and make new friends
- Work with professional chefs
- Use different types of cooking equipment
- Serve customers at Hibberd Court their lunch
- Learn housekeeping skills
- You will learn new digital skills
You will learn how to use digital tools like a tablet computer, a laptop or a digital smartboard.
- Grow fruit and vegetables in The CRUMBS Project’s kitchen garden
If you would like to work, at the end of your training we will help you to try and find a job.

What facilities are at The CRUMBS Project?
Answer
Your training will be at The CRUMBS Project’s training centre in Bournemouth.
Our address is Hibberd Court, 20A Hibberd Way, Bournemouth, Dorset, BH10 4EP.
You can learn in the training kitchen, bakery, and computer room.
The CRUMBS Project Training Centre Areas
You can eat lunch together with other trainees and staff in the dining room.
Lunch is provided for you, unless you would like to bring your own food for lunch.

Who will I be with at The CRUMBS Project?
Answer
You will be with other trainees and The CRUMBS Project staff in the training centre.

You will meet volunteers who come to help at The CRUMBS Project each week.
You can visit The CRUMBS Project and look around the facilities to help you decide if you would like to train with us here.
Question 4:
What will I wear at The CRUMBS Project?
Answer
You need to wear a uniform at The CRUMBS Project.
We will give you your uniform and wash it for you every day.
You wear a chef’s uniform if you are working in the kitchen and bakery.

You will need to wear special safety shoes.
The CRUMBS Project will give you the shoes.
If you train in another area of the The CRUMBS Project training centre you will wear a different uniform.
The CRUMBS Project will give you a polo shirt which is like a t-shirt but with a collar, and you wear your own black trousers.
You can change your clothes in the changing rooms at The CRUMBS Project.
You are given a locker to keep your things in when you are at The CRUMBS Project.
You can put things like your wallet, mobile phone, keys and jewellery in your locker.

How do I get to The CRUMBS Project?
Answer
You can get to The CRUMBS Project by bus or by car, bike, taxi, or you can walk there.
