People with a disability can only make real choices about when, how and by whom they are supported if they know how much money they have to spend each week on supported hours.
The government has published an important paper about people with disabilities being paid directly into their bank account each week so that they can purchase the type of support they would like and need.

This exciting new opportunity should result in people having real choices to enable them to improve their quality of life.
The Crumbs Project would like to work in partnership with Local Authorities and other stakeholders to find a simple way of ensuring that people with disabilities who would like the chance to receive their support money each week can do so. It is important that each person who chooses a Direct Payment receives independent support to understand how they can use it.
