CRUMBS Café is open for business Monday to Friday 9am to 4pm.

 

 

 


Trainees provide home cooked food with personalised table service.

All food is prepared/ cooked  by the trainees under supervision from skilled staff.

There are currently fourteen people under training at the café.

There are currently ten people training at CRUMBS Bakery.

There is capacity to increase the number of trainees, if funding is made available.

Each trainee is allocated from two to four days per week in the Training Programme.

We are interested in meeting potential employers: researching employment opportunities for our trainees.

We are currently being approached by other groups asking if we are interested in extending our business operations: some exploration is underway.

Doorsteps Sandwich Delivery Service is now delivering sandwiches, cakes, salads, fruit and drinks in Bournemouth: moves are afoot to extend this service.

SnakPak Tuck Boxes, selling confectionary, snacks and drinks has been launched: new customers being signed up now.

“The Original Crumbs Iced Fruit Cake” – selling bulk orders as a fundraising tool to other 3rd sector organisations - has completed product development and design.

The Meeting Room at Crumbs Cafe is available for half/ daily hire, with or without snacks/ meals as required. The hire cost is currently £80 per day / £40 ½ day.

Learn Direct computer training is now available 9am – 4pm on Wednesdays and Thursdays in the meeting room, 522 Christchurch Road, Bournemouth. Additional “Twilight” sessions may be made available depending upon demand.

Basic Skills Tuition is also on offer to those needing this support: further skilled assessments of these needs are being explored.





The first Review Session, involving Trainees, Staff/ Referring Agents/ Relatives and Customers to see where they see the Charity going has now taken place. All ideas regarding Training, future developments etc. will be considered: implementation will depend on whether these are practical. Financial implications must, of course, come into consideration.

3 people have gained full time paid employment.
3 people have gained part time paid employment
6 people have moved on to part time voluntary work
2 people have moved on to full time further education.
7 trainees: no outcome due to ill health/inability to cope.
